A new passenger train service began operating on Monday between Oulu, Finland, and Haparanda, Sweden. This cross-border route runs twice daily and takes 100 minutes. It restores the first rail link connecting northern Finland to the wider European network in nearly 40 years. Travelers must transfer to continue their journey south.
